Environmental Safety Assessment

An Environmental Safety Assessment determines what equipment needs and/or home modifications may be required to ensure client's safety and independence within their home.

The assessment involves:

  • Review of client's medical history
  • Physical assessment (strength, range of motion, tolerances)
  • Home Functional Assessment
  • Equipment needs assessment
  • Discussions with treating health care team and family

Recommendations are made and the treating therapist will arrange for delivery/installation/modifications to be completed and educate the client on safe use of the recommended devices.
